Exceptional service from Mia!
I recently visited Dubh Cafe in Newbridge, and I just have to give a massive shout-out to Mia. From the moment I walked in, she went above and beyond to make it a great experience.
She has such a warm, welcoming energy and is incredibly attentive, even when the cafe gets busy. My coffee was absolutely spot on, and her recommendations from the menu were fantastic. It’s rare to find customer service this genuine and bright nowadays—she truly makes the place feel welcoming.
Dubh Cafe is already a brilliant spot, but staff like Mia take it to the next level. I’ll definitely be back!

Really nice spot. They have a variety of pastries like breakfasts and also lunch. It has a really good coffee variety with different types of milks. Stuff is very friendly. Very helpful. Recommended for a brunch or for a quick lunch

Lovely cafe with a cozy atmosphere and excellent service. The coffee always delicious, best coconut cap ever! perfectly prepared, and the pastries were absolutely amazing — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxing breakfast, a coffee break, or catching up with friends. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for great coffee and outstanding pastries!

Today we visited your café for lunch, and we were served a sausage roll with an incredibly spicy sauce. The salad also contained caraway seeds and coriander, which had never been included before. None of these ingredients were listed in the allergen information or mentioned on the menu.
As a result, I had an asthma attack and had to ask for the dish to be replaced.
We then ordered a €16 sandwich, but it was very disappointing. It was dry, with no sauce at all, and contained an excessive amount of salad leaves, which tasted bitter.
We are regular customers at Dubh, and I was extremely disappointed by today's experience. What concerns me most is that I almost couldn't breathe because of seasonings that were not disclosed in the menu or allergen information. This could be very dangerous for customers with allergies or respiratory conditions.
I hope you will review your ingredient and allergen information to ensure it is accurate and complete, as this is an important health and safety issue.

Food was incredible! We got the Turkish eggs and Chicken Hash breakfast (hollandaise on the side). Both meals were so tasty and a very generous portion. Did not try the coffee but will be back again
